Kells Priory (founded 1193 AD) Located a few miles outside Kilkenny City, beside the King's River, Kells priory is well worth a visit. Altamont Gardens, Co Carlow. The jewel in the crown of Irish Gardens. A large Robinsonian mixture of planting, bequeathed to the Irish State by the former owner & gardener Corona North. Great place for a picnic and to get ideas for your own garden. Located near to Tullow town (or Ballon village on the Wexford Road).
