In Irishtown, Kilkenny City, stands the impressive St Canice's Cathedral. 13th century, rich in carvings. The Round Tower dates from the 6th century monastic remains, reputedly founded by St Canice. There are superb views from the top of the tower. Note the beautiful stone doorways, found at St Canices and shown below.
